Welcome to Mindfull, a health and wellness website focused on mental health awareness and nutrition.
About Us:
Mindfull is a student-led organization. We plan on publishing articles, holding live meetings, and creating a welcoming community. Our goal is to promote balanced, realistic, and nutritious eating, as well as bring awareness to eating disorders, especially in athletic and artistic communities.
*Disclaimer: Mindfull is not a website that gives medical advice. The articles we produce will, for the most part, apply to the general public. However, please go to your local doctor before making major changes to your lifestyle. We will do our best to publish factual and most recent information.*
A Message From the Founder:
Hello, my name is Isara. I am a high school student who started this website because of my passion and interest in this topic. Truthfully, I am currently working on my own mental health journey. I had disordered eating habits that I needed to change, but way before that, I was interested in nutrition and food in general.
Ballet is something I have been doing since I was little, and I love it, but I also believe it was the primary cause of my unhealthy eating habits. That's why through this website, I want to promote healthy eating not only to the general public but especially to sportsmen. I want them to love their sport while also maintaining a healthy and compatible lifestyle.
With my background in disordered eating, I also want to support others with similar struggles. I want to create a community where people can support each other and encourage each other through their tough moments. Additionally, I wish for more people to be aware of eating disordered. Our society knows too little about eating disorders that people keep receiving false information and unnecessary pain. Though Mindfull, I hope people without eating disorders can also learn about them to then effectively support close ones who have eating disorders.
In the near future, I hope to see a different view of "healthy" in the general media. Instead of the next fad diet or weird "hack" to instantly make you lose weight, I hope to see more videos on truly sustainable and "healthy" lifestyles and a more inclusive society that encourages differences and uniqueness. Leading to this end goal, I hope Mindfull can play its part and reach the eyes of many teenagers who can be most susceptible to the Internet and false information.
I hope you enjoy the content on Mindfull. Be aware of upcoming posts, events, and updates.
Thank you for reading, and have a great day!
